Remarks.
The Iranian population of
P. vulnus
(Pourjam
et al
. 1997)
corresponds closely to the original description (Allen & Jensen 1951), except that the stylet is slightly shorter (14–15
vs
16–18 µm). The stylet length of the Iranian population, however, is similar to that of the populations measured by Roman & Hirschmann 1969 and Doucet
et al
. 1996. All of them have only three lip annuli.
