Smith col. ( USNM ). Comments . No reliable association can be made at this stage of the female holotype of Coniceromyia grenadensis with any males —as also happens with other Coniceromyia species with female holotypes . Hence, this species remains without diagnostic features. This is the oldest Coniceromyia species described and is potentially the senior synonym of one of many of the species described more recently.
