We have found the species in Mazandaran Province , and it is the first record for Iran . Examined material: 10 larvae from Mazandaran Province , Abbasabad , Behshahr county ( N36°39’42” ; E53°35’49” ), 22.iv.2018 , Keikhosravi, A. leg. Electrogena gibedede can be distinguished from other species by using the following characters: (i) shape of gill I with subparallel margins for most of the gill length ( Fig. 4a ); (ii) shape of gill VII, gradually narrowing towards apex ( Fig. 4b ); (iii) joint between pronotum and mesonotum smooth, without abrupt step ( Fig. 4c ); (iv) unique shape of bristles on upper surface of fore femora, widened towards the apex and rounded ( Fig. 4d ); (v) presence of two teeth on the tarsal claws; (vi) shape of paraglossae, rounded laterally ( Fig. 4e ); (vii) setation of superlinguae with long hairs on the tips.
