Diagnosis.
Pseudastenus ferrugineus
differs from the other species with elytra longer than wide by the rust brown to reddish pronotum and the coloration of the elytra with basal two-thirds darker than apical one-third.
Description.
Body length:

Etymology.
The specific name derives from the Latin adjective “ferrugineus” meaning rust-brown and refers to the rust brown to reddish color of the pronotum.
Geographical records.
Pseudastenus ferrugineus
is known only from the northwestern part of the state of
Pará
(
Brazil
).
Biological notes.
The specimens of
Pseudastenus ferrugineus
were collected in leaf litter.
