Remarks.
The species is known from the type specimen only. The original description assigns the “author’s collection” as repository (
Arlé 1947
), which would be the
Museu Nacional
, in
Rio de Janeiro
,
Brazil
. The curator (Felipe Vivallo), however, confirmed that the
holotype
of
A. irmgardae
was not deposited at the
Museu Nacional
. Arlé worked at
Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi
from
1962 to 1972
(Overal & Gorayeb 1981), after the description date, but the curator (Orlando Silveira) also confirmed the absence of the
holotype
. Because the
holotype
could not be located, and following the description of
Arlé (1947)
, we designate the specimen examined for the current paper as the
neotype
of
A. irmgardae
. See
Arlé (1947)
for detail description.
