The finding of a new Lamellepidosis , which is described below, may be regarded as one of the most unexpected outcomes of GBOL III:Dark Taxa. The fact that two different Lamellepidosis occur in southern Germany may indicate that the main distribution of this genus is in southern Europe, a poorly researched region for mycophagous cecidomyiids.
