Bahía Chatham, April 2008 , one specimen, 24 mm . Description. The body is yellowish-brown with numerous papillae, papillae crowded and longer in the anal region and caudal region. A smooth, white collar region on the introvert just proximal to the tentacles; tentacles with short brown pigment patches. Digitate contractile vessel villi present. Habitat. Intertidal, calcareous rock. Remarks. This species is widespread in tropical and subtropical regions in shallow waters and is one of the more common species encountered in the intertidal of Pacific Costa Rica ( Dean 2001 ). Distribution. A widespread species in tropical and subtropical regions living in corals and soft rock.
