Remarks.
This species, the adults of which typically live symbiotically with the large actinian
Sagartia consors
(Verrill)
, has not been previously recorded south of the coast of
French Guiana
. Thus, this report extends significantly the southernmost range of this species from about
7°06’N
to
4°36’S
off the coast of Rio Grande do Norte,
Brazil
.
