A large genus chiefly south-east Asian in distribution. Described by Speidel (1984) , Yoshiyasu (1985) and (1987). The male genitalia in most cases are distinguished by the specialised setae arising from near the aped, the uncus is without setae. The female genitalia have setose papillae analis and segment 8 is characterised by weakly sclerotised plates on both dorsum and sternum which are not connected to make a ring.
