All Caucasian species of the subgenus Tetramelus are very similar in general apperance. They are small or middle-sized, light yellowish-brown, microphthalmous, with slender antennae and legs. The body length of Euconnus ( Tetramelus ) kraussi is 1.40–1.60 mm . In the original description the body length of Euconnus ( Tetramelus ) marinae is stated to be 1.55–1.75 mm ( Franz 1979 ). The length of this wide range was already put in doubt ( Vít & Hlaváč 1998: 146 ). All three syntypes in NMW were measured and they have the following lengths: 1.57; 1.43; 1.43 mm . Consequently, the Franz’s measurements were not correct.
