Studies in Guatemalan Ensifera: New Glaphyrosoma species (Orthoptera: Anostostomatidae) and additional data for other described species Author Cadena-Castañeda, Oscar J. Upon request for information on the holotype of “ Mayacris bruneri Cockerell, 1912 ” (original name for this species) at the USNM (National Museum of Natural History, Washington D.C. , USA ), no specimen was found; for this reason, we consider that the holotype is lost. Gorochov & Cadena-Castañeda (2016) inferred from the original description ( Cockerel, 1912 ) that the holotype of this species might have been an immature specimen. Since its description no additional specimens have been reported that might authenticate the validity of this species and to retain stability in the genus. We regard this species as nomem dubium.
