Wirth ) ( USNM ). Etymology The species is named after Thomas Borgmeier, who first recognized the species. Diagnosis With only one pair of bristles on scutellum; femora essentially yellow. The female of this species was described by Borgmeier under A. palpalis . It is distinguished in the key below. Aphiura breviceps Schmitz, 1939 (figure 2C) Aphiura breviceps Schmitz, 1939: 113 . The type series comprises two males from New Zealand , one of which I have examined in the Museum Koenig (Bonn). I have subsequently reported three males from Auckland (Disney, 1994a).
