Head: coarsely punctate; produced anteriorly; with longitudinal carina in middle. Antenna: antennomere I thickest, rounded; II smaller; III longer than II; remainder subequal in length; apical 4 darker, slightly thicker than preceding; I–VII slightly rugose. Pronotum: subcylindrical; subquadrate; parallel-sided; convex; lateral margin slightly bisinuate, margined; anterior angle notched with minute tooth; surface coarsely rugose-punctate, deeply excavated on disc; pronotal width 0.9 mm ; pronotal length 0.9–1.0 mm. Scutellum: depressed; smooth; impunctate; parallel-sided; rounded at apex. Elytron: combined much wider than base of pronotum; dilated posteriorly; lateral margin parallel, margined, serrate; with four weak costae- 1 st and 4 th entire, extending nearly to apex; 2 nd interrupted behind middle, less raised at base than apex; 3 rd interrupted in middle (where there is a depression) and near apex; depression present on interspace 6 near middle; interspace 7 slightly raised in middle; suture raised; elytral width 1.6–1.9 mm ; elytral length 2.9–3.0 mm. Venter: smooth; shining; impunctate. Total length: 4.1–4.6 mm . Comparative notes. This species is one of the two totally dark Chaeridiona . It can be distinguished from C. picea by the rounded exterior apical angle of the elytra and by having elytral costae 1 and 4 entire. Food plants. Unknown. Distribution.
