Periclimenes laevimanus sp. nov. from Vietnam, with a review of the Periclimenes granulimanus species group (Crustacea: Decapoda: Palaemonidae: Pontoniinae) * Author Ďuriš, Zdeněk text Zootaxa 2010 2010-02-26 2372 1 106 125 https://www.biotaxa.org/Zootaxa/article/view/zootaxa.2372.1.12 journal article 10.11646/zootaxa.2372.1.12 1175-5326 5308119 Periclimenes nomadophila Berggren, 1994 Periclimenes nomadophila Berggren, 1994: 783 , Figs. 1–5 . Material . 10 female paratypes , RMNH D.42893; 10 male paratypes , RMNH D.42894. Remarks . Specimens agree in most aspects with the original descriptions and figures provided by Berggren (1994) . In addition, a fine marginal denticulation, not mentioned for that species, was found to be present on the posterior dorsal margin of the third abdominal segment. The third maxilliped possesses a small arthrobranch, not mentioned before. In two ovigerous females checked for these branchiae, both third maxillipeds bear small, but well-developed, 3–4 lamellate arthrobranch; these were reduced to 2–3 lamellae in two males specially examined for the arthobranchs’ shape. Berggren (1994) regarded this species as belonging to the Periclimenes obscurus group and pointed out its close relationship with P. delagoae Barnard, 1958 . Both these species are morphologically intermediate between the P. obscurus and P. granulimanus species groups. Color. Whitish opaque with red chromatophores, major chela with white fingers and red palm distally Berggren (1994) . Host . Rhopilema nomadica Galil, Spanier & Ferguson (Scyphozoa) . Distribution. Inhaca Is., Moçambique , approx. 26° S 33° E ( type locality).
