Description and differential diagnosis
. Redescription of this genus has been published recently (
Storozhenko & Pushkar, 2015
).
Yunnantettix
is similar to
Pseudepitettix
and
Epitettix
in the moderately widened frontal ridge and low median carina of pronotum, but it differs from both genera by the presence of tegmen and a distinct tegminal sinus on the pronotal lateral lobe.
Composition and distribution
. Altogether, five species are now assigned to the genus
Yunnantettix
. These are distributed over
India
,
China
, and
Thailand

). Two of the species are synonymized below. Two species of the genus are found in
