Remarks: The species originally described from South America (du Bois-Reymond Marcus 1944 ) and later found in Costa Rica ( Kaczmarek et al. 2014a ). Specimens from Costa Rica indicate that this species requires a redescription and should probably be transferred to the genus Paramacrobiotus .
