Remarks:
The original description (
Heinis, 1914
) was not sufficient to enable
Marcus (1936)
to attribute the species positively to the genus
Hypsibius
and the correct taxonomic position of this species is unclear (potentially
Isohypsibius
or
Macrobiotus
-
Ramazzotti
& Maucci 1983
). With the exception of the original report (
Heinis, 1914
) this taxon has not been re-discovered and is currently endemic to
Colombia
.
