The genus Anatkina includes about 58 valid species, of these 33 are recorded only from China ( Yang et al ., 2015 ). The genus can readily be differentiated from other Cicadellinae by the following combination of characters: head weakly to moderately produced; lateral clypeal sutures reaching crown and usually extending to ocelli; transclypeal suture distinct medially or not; male pygofer usually strongly produced, posterior margin may convex or truncate, with macrosetae on apical half; subgenital plates gradually or abruptly narrowed distally, varying in length as compared to pygofer; style usually without preapical lobe; connective ā€˜Vā€™- or ā€˜Uā€™-shaped; aedeagus with preatrium usually extending ventrad or posterodorsad, articulating with paraphysis.
