Diagnosis: In its carapace shape (lateral outline), corresponding closely to Petrobrasia marfinensis ( Krömmelbein, 1962 ) ; however it is wider in dorsal view, with a symmetrically biconvex lengthways arching. Shell surface smooth as far as postero-ventral area, where some only weakly defined ridges appear. Holotype : Carapace, SMF Xe 5363. Paratype : Carapace, SMF Xe 5364 . Dimensions: Holotype , length 0.81mm , height 0.47mm . Topotype, SMF Xe 7806, length 0.82mm , height 0.51mm , width 0.31mm .
