Diagnosis : A species closely related to P. marfinensis (Krömmelbein, 1965) , the type species of the genus. Carapace fairly stocky and high-backed, in lateral view with flattened flanks. Fine sculpture in the form of little ridges forming a net, distinctly prominent on the anterior, posterior and ventral carapace surface, weaker towards the middle of the valve, absent on the actual middle of the valve and in the medio-dorsal area. Holotype : Carapace, BfB 7802. Paratypes : Several carapaces, BfB 7803. Dimensions: Holotype , length 0.97mm , height 0.60mm , width 0.34mm .
