Lenkoia karoli Piza, 1980 Lenkoia Piza, 1980 syn. nov. of Gongrocnemis Redtenbacher, 1895 , subgen. Melanocnemis Beier, 1954 The genus Lenkoia was placed into the subfamily Phaneropterinae , which is obviously wrong. This pale female specimen from São Paulo province, which possibly passed some time in alcohol and lost partly its coloration, is a typical member of the Pseudophyllinae , belonging either to Pleminiini or Platyphylini. It does not fit into any genus of the latter tribe, but is very similar to some Gongrocnemis species described from that region. It is probably identical to Gongrocnemis (Melanocnemis) atrifrons ( Giglio-Tos, 1900 ) , which is described from the neighbouring province Mato Grosso do Sul. This species also has a darkened face and a distinctly granulated pronotum, but from the old description alone it is impossible to decide.
