Notman, 1925: 21. Type locality: "Santa Rita Mountains, Arizona" (original citation). Holotype (♂) in USNM [# 26174]. Etymology. The specific name was proposed for Eugene Amandus Schwarz [1844-1928], entomologist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture with a specialization in the taxonomy of
Coleoptera
, especially the more obscure groups.
Distribution.
This species is known only from the holotype collected in southern Arizona.
