Seven species have been described from North America, mainly from the USA ( Wouts & Sher 1971 ; Wouts 1973b ; Robbins 1978 , 1986 ; Bernard 1981 ; Baldwin et al. 1989 ; Subbotin et al. 2017 ). Among these, A. crassicrustata has also been recorded from the Far East of Russia ( Kazachenko 1990 , Subbotin et al. 2011 ). Two species are only known from the South American countries of Peru , Chile and Brazil ( Golden et al. 1983 , de Souza & Huang 1994 ). Several unnamed species have been recovered from the USA and Brazil (Othman et al. 1986, Huang & Cares 1995 , Silva et al. 2008 , Subbotin et al. 2017 ). Hosts are different eudicots and Poaceae ( Sturhan 2018 ) .
