Diagnosis.
Black; head in frontal view distinctly wider (1.3× excluding mandibles) than high (

); preorbital carinae joining with auricular carina and meeting with genal carina in the middle (

, arrow); mesosoma sparsely punctate with small punctures, the interspaces smooth; scutellum distinctly longer than maximum width, and with conspicuous medio-longitudinal furrow (

, arrow); axillae and sides of mesoscutum with tufts of silvery-white setae (

); metacoxa with dorsobasal tubercle; metafemur with inner basal tooth (

Note
. The specimens from
Kerala
have brown-black hind legs compared to entirely black specimens from
Karnataka and Tamil Nadu
