[Rasuwa district], Pongsing , 15000 ft , 1929, Lall Dhwoj 50 ( Holotype : BM00622357 !; Isotype: BM00521541 !) Description:— Plants 8–40 cm , perennial, slender, glabrous. Roots fusiform or elongate, vertical or oblique arranged. Stems erect, solitary. Blade oblong in outline, 4–15× 2–6 cm , 1–2 pinnate, pinnae 2–5 pairs; basal petioles 2–10 cm , sheath usually broad, ovate or oblong-ovate at base; upwards leaves reduced or absent; ultimate segments 0.6–2 ×0.3–1.5, elliptic, ovate or near triangular, margin dentate or trilobed, ciliated, adaxial surfaces usually purplish; basal petiolule obvious, 0.3–1.8 cm , media and upper petiolule absent. Umbel usually solitary or rarely 3 axillary reduced umbels; rays 3–8, equal or subequal, 0.8–3 cm , pedicels 5–15, ca. 0.5 cm , subequal; bracts mostly absent, occasionally 1–2, linear, reflex, narrowly white membranous margin, margin serrulate; bracteoles 6–15, linear, reflex, narrowly white membranous margin, margin serrulate; pedicels 4–8 mm , 5–15, equal, usually purplish. Calyx teeth minute or conspicuous, triangular or subulate-lanceolate. Petals white, ovate, oblong-ovate or obovate, base clawed, apex acute or slightly obtuse, incurved; anther usually purplish; stylopodium flat or low-conic; styles obvious. Mericarp oblongovoid, smooth; ribs 5, filiform, purplish when immature; vittae 3–4 in each furrow, 6 on commissure. Phenology:— Flowering from July to September and fruiting from August to October. Distribution and habitat:— Similisinocarum normanianum is distributed in Nyalam County, Xizang of China and Nepal . The species inhabits dwarf scrub and grasslands at alt. 3600–4200 m and prefers moist habitat.
