This species can be diagnosed by the following combination of characters, including coloration. The antennal scrobe of this species is not at all carinate, nor is there a genal carina. It has the mesosoma slightly longer than broad, and lacks a scutellar scale. This female is characterized by long, brilliant orange to scarlet setae on terga II through IV, contrasting the white setae on the remainder of the body. Male . Unknown. Distribution . Mexico ( Baja California Norte and Sur). Remarks . This species is known only from the female. However, its male is very likely the male newly described here as D . loreto Manley and Pitts. It is known from only about a half dozen specimens. All known specimens have been examined.
