(Quito, Ecuador ) REMARKS. The species is intermediate in body size (body length about 31.5 mm , wingspan about 114 mm ) for the genus, has a rounded apex of the postclypeus when viewed from the dorsal side, and the fore wing radial crossvein is separated from the radiomedial crossvein by less than twice the length of the radial crossvein ( Torres 1960 ). The addition brings the known cicada diversity of Peru to 115 species ( Sanborn 2020a ). DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported previously from Brazil and Ecuador ( Duffels & van der Laan 1985 ; Sanborn 2013 ; Sanborn 2020d ; Nunes et al . 2023 ). MATERIAL EXAMINED fOR NEW RECORD.
