Typically found in intertidal pools, specially on calcareous concretions of biological origin, like vermetid reefs, coral blocks, Posidonia oceanica rhizomes, photophilic and sciaphilic algae ( López et al . 1996 ). Distribution. Djibouti , Gulf of Aden ( Gravier 1900 ). Adriatic Sea, Turkish Aegean Sea, Ionian Sea, North West Italy , East and western Mediterranean Sea, North East Atlantic, East coast of Spain ( Musco & Giangrande 2005 ). New record for Socotra .
