Characteristicwingpatternfeatures: costaofforewing straight; groundcolourdarkbrownishgrey (thespecimenisworn); transverselinesindistinct; reniformstigmamedium-sized, lightyellow, semilunar, withlargeblackspotatbottomhalf, verywidedarkedgeincell; orbicularstigmalarge, ca. halfaslargeasreniform, itsgroundcolourlikethatofreniform. Colourationandpatternofhindwingsimilarto thoseofforewing.
Malegenitalia (

). Uncusrelativelyshort, slightlycurved, mediumwide, hooked. Scaphiumstraight, aslongasuncus. Tegumenslightlylongerthanvinculum. Saccus broad-based, long, graduallytapering, itstippointed. Juxtalarge, roundedtriangular, broaderthanlong. Valvalong, narrow, slightlytapering. Asmallcostallobepresentin theapicalquarterofvalva. Sacculusmediumwide, elongate, nearlyhalfaslongasvalva. Distalquarterofvalvacomposedbythesclerotisedfusionofcosta, harpeandcucullus; thissectionbeingtapering, apicallyslightlycurvedtodorsaldirection, itstippointed. Aedeagusmediumthick, evenlywide, straight; proximalquarterofvesicascobinatebyrelativelybiggrainsandwithlarge, narrowcornutusbeingstronglycurvedatbase, straight atremainingsection.
Diagnosis. Theshapeandsizeofforewingofthisnewspeciesaresimilar to
N. ineffectalis
sensuHolloway, 2008. But
N. huettleri
lacksthemalebasal scentorganofforewing, whichispresentin
N. ineffectalis
sensuHolloway, moreover, theorbicularspotislarger. Themalegenitaliashowmoreconspicuousdifferencesbetweenthesetwospecies: theuncusin
N. huettleri
is notbifurcate, whilethatof
N. ineffectalis
isbranched, thejuxtalacksthehuge processpresentin
N. ineffectalis
, thevalvaismuchnarrowerandlonger, and thecornutusofaedeagusismuchnarrower.
Thesupposedclosestrelativeof
N. huettleri
is
N. secreta
. However,
N. huettleri
differsfromthelatterbythesomewhatnarroweruncus, narrower valvaandthemorecurvedapicalfusedstructureofvalva.
Etymology. Thenewspeciesisdedicatedtothecollectorofthetypespecimen, Mr BélaHüttler (1937–2002), formertaxidermistoftheHNHM.
