Remarks.
Alamprops carinatus
can be differentiated from the similar

A. obfuscatus
by the terminal setae on the telson. In
A. carinatus
, the central seta is the longest, while in
A. flavus
and
A. obfuscatus
the outermost pair are longer than the central seta.
Alamprops carinatus
can be differentiated from the similar
Lamprops fuscatus
by the telson length relative to the uropod peduncles. In
A. carinatus
the telson is subequal to or slightly shorter than the uropod peduncles, while in
L. fuscatus
the telson is longer than the uropod peduncles.
