Diagnosis:
Anterior reclinate small (OR2/OR1 0.73, vs.>.08–0.93); apex of male abdomen dark (including epandrium); distiphallus width in dorsoventral view at least twice that of phallus stem, large and thick in lateral view, with fine medial spicules, no medial scales; lateral margin of aedeagus not serrate, tip papillate.
Description:
Coloration typical of group, katepisternum and meron very slightly infuscate and pollinose; tergite 6 lighter than preceding segments, epandrium and cerci darker. Setation as in diagnosis and measurements. Protarsal spines with typical array of 8 fang-shaped spines alternating in size, 4 on each on two basal tarsomeres. Male genitalia: Hypandrium with narrowed anterior end, width 0.5x the posterior end; phallus in dorsoventral view gradually broadened subapically to at least twice the width of phallus shaft. Like
cameroonensis
, without coarse or fine scales, only minute pimpules apically, short, dense spicules medially; aedeagus best distinguished from
cameroonensis
in lateral view,
freidbergi
being larger and much thicker (
