Biology and notes.
Eosalpingogaster nigriventris
is here reported from
Chile
for the first time. This species is morphologically similar to
E. conopida
.
The species
Ethelurgus rufipes
(Brèthes) (Ichneumonidae)
,
Prosaspicera cesarina
(Brèthes) (Figitidae)
and
Trichomalus polviventris
Brèthes
have been mentioned as parasitoids of this species by
Silva
et al.
(1968)
. It has been described that
E. nigriventris
prey on
Coccidae
and
Diaspididae
(Lizer y
Trelles 1939
;
Knutson 1971
).
