It is native to Asia including Japan , Pakistan , Iran ( Golestan and Guilan ) ( Potapov 2001 ; Daghighi et al . 2013 ; Falahati et al . 2013 ). No special data on its ecology was known. Iranian specimens were found in forest moss and soil and grassland soil. FIGURE 9. Isotomurus punctiferus : body color pattern Remarks. Some characters that was not mentioned in the first description include: antennal III organ with two thick inner sensilla, two slender outer sensilla and two slender lateral sensilla ( Fig.10a ); Mac. long and ciliated. As the only Iranian species with crenulated dens and 3,3,1 Trich. on Abd. II, III and IV has the mucronal seta ( Fig. 10b ).
