Diagnosis Shell medium to large, slightly to well curved, fragile, polished to shiny, except apical portion; translucent white or salmon near the apex. Fine, close longitudinal striae, prominent near apex; anterior half of shell usually smooth. Apex simple, truncate with apical callus, lumen variable in shape, or with deep irregular slit at dorsal side or laterally disposed. Circular in section, oral aperture generally thin, translucent.
