Persoon ( Poaceae ) ( García Morales et al . 2016 ). Distribution: China ( Yunnan ), India , Pakistan . Remarks: Neomargarodes niger was reported from Yunnan province on unknown perennial grass on a dry hill top by Ferris (1950) ; however, both Jakubski (1965) and Jikun Yang (1979) doubted the identification. Specimens of this species have not been seen in this study.
