Diagnosis.
This new species is similar to
P. planidorsalis
Gorochov, 1988
, but differs in the ectoparameron obviously wider, and its lateral lobes of different shape.
Description. Male
(
Fig. 2
). Body medium sized, pubescent. Head of subequal width with anterior margin of pronotum. Frontal rostrum flat, scapus almost 2.1 times as wide as frontal rostrum. Eyes rather bulging. Lateral ocelli small, granular, medial ocellus slightly longitudinal and not projecting. Pronotum distinctly widening poste- riorly with lateral margins of disc angularly rounded into paranota. Tegmina with 3 long and 1 short oblique veins, lateral field with 16–18 subcostal veinlets, apical field is regular; mirror slightly longer than broad (10: 9). Hind wings distinctly longer than tegmina. Metanotal gland (
Fig. 16
) large with upper half lateral margin slightly swollen, length–width ratio (16: 15), an acute angle protruding at posterior margin. Anterior tibia swollen at tympana, internal tympanum with a long slit–like opening on posterior side; external tympanum ovoid, free.
Supra anal plate (
Fig. 19
) is linked by the diaphragm at the end and covered with short hairs except for the central part, the posterior margin almost round. Subgenital plate distinctly narrowed posteriorly, with circular posterior margin. Phallus (
Figs. 7–9
): epiphallus rather long, slightly narrowed in the middle, and with a pair of serrated protuberance at the end. Ectoparameron almost same width as the epiphallus with rather short lateral lobes, extend to both sides with the ends ossified hook and slightly retracted, lateral margins relatively round. Formula is membranous, not obvious.
Coloration. Body greenish. Head with narrow longitudinal yellowish stripes behind eyes. Antennae brownish. Disc of pronotum with a pair of small round black spots on the middle, and with yellowish stripes along lateral edges. Tegmen with dark brown veins, and with a yellowish stripe along lateral edge of dorsal area. All legs almost yellowish.
Female
(
Fig. 3
). Female approximate male. But the body is stronger than male. Tegmina with 10 longitudinal veins in dorsal part, later field with 13–15 subcostal veinlets.
Coloration as in male. The pair of small round black spots on pronotum is bigger than male.
Measurements
(
mm
). Male: body length 17.5–20.5, length with wings 26.0–27.0, pronotum 3.2–3.6, tegmen18.5–21.5, hind femur 10.5–12.0; Female: body 18.5–21.5, length with wings 27.0–31.0, pronotum 3.6–4.2, tegmen 20.0–25.0, hind femur 12.5–14.5, ovipositor 8.0–9.5.
