Referred species: Teilhardimys reisi ( Antunes, Estravis & Russell, 1987 ) comb. nov. , early Ypresian, Neustrian ELMA , Zone PEII ?, Silveirinha, Portugal ; Te. brisswalteri sp. nov. , late Thanetian, Cernaysian ELMA , Cernay, Berru. Diagnosis: Small louisinines. P 4 with neoformed metaconule. P 4 buccal cusps crested. M 1 with: hypocone subequal to protocone (shared with Louisina and Dipavali ). Parastyle high on M 1–3 . M 1 with: hypoconid more than half height of protoconid; entoconid subequal to metaconid (shared with Louisina ). Comment on nomenclature: Teilhardimys Kretzoi & Kretzoi, 2000 is a replacement name for Microhyus Teilhard de Chardin, 1927 (not 1928 as given by Kretzoi & Kretzoi, 2000: 401 ), which is preoccupied by Microhyus Leconte, 1876 , a curculionid beetle ( Leconte, 1876: 237–238 ).
