Notaris mandschurica was described from Harbin ( Voss 1940 ). The study of materials from Siberia and the Far East showed that these specimens belong to Notaris scirpi , but the differences in the coarsely punctate metanepisternum, the scales near the metanepisternum are rarer, and the pronotum usually more coarsely sculptured allow preserving the status of a subspecies.
