Type
material:
Male
holotype
from Washington, Friday Harbor, W123.01: N48.28, June-July 1928, Shackleford (
AMNH
).
EXAMINED
.
Etymology:
The specific name is a patronym in honor of Darrell Ubick, curatorial assistant at the California Academy of Sciences, great arachnologist and dear friend.
Diagnosis:
Males are distinguished from all other
Agyneta
species by the long hook-shaped lamella characteristica (
Fig. 185
). Females are distinguished from most species by their abdominal patterns (
Fig. 190
). From
A. fillmorana
see diagnosis of the latter and from
A. bucklei
by the oblique sides of the proximal part of scape (
Fig. 191
), straignt in the latter (
Fig. 206
).

Fig. 185
). Cymbium with retrolateral fold; glabrous depression present (
Fig. 185
); dorsal and ventral cymbial tubercles reduced, slightly rugose; prolateral notch absent (
Fig. 186
). Paracymbium with apical pocket only (
Fig. 185
). Embolus tip pointed, with a few apical spines; Fickert’s gland absent; ventral lamella spiny apically, serrated basally; thumb going beyond the embolus proper (
Fig. 187
). Embolus proper set apically, serrated, crest-like extending to the tip of embolus (
