Orientomiris ater (Poppius, 1915) n. comb . ( Figure 39 ) Creontiades ater Poppius, 1915a : 25 –26 (as new species); Carvalho 1959 : 74 (catalog); Schuh 1995 : 743 (catalog), 2002–2013 (online catalog). Material examined. Type specimen: lectotype ♀ of Creontiades ater (present designation): INDIA : “Ostindien” (no locality given), type 10060 ( MZHF ) [the specimen bears the Poppius’ original handwritten identification label with the mention “ Creontiades ater n. sp. ”]. Diagnosis. Body totally black. Head reddish dark brown to black, eyes black, with a yellow margin posteriorly. Antennae with first segment reflective black, second segment black basally on 1/5 of its length and apically on 1/3 of its length, yellow to dark orange medially, third antennal segment yellow basally, brownish medially and apically. Pronotal collar gray, pronotal disk black, its posterior margin narrowly yellowish. Scutellum apparently black (but badly damaged in type specimen). Hemelytra black, rugose, punctation very reduced but very dense, membrane grayish. Spines of fore tibia (other legs missing) blackish. Ventral side dark brown to black, evaporative area yellow. Discussion. The type of O . ater conforms to our diagnosis of Orientomiris on the basis of its external anatomy. Consequently, we suggest the new combination. A second female specimen labelled as type is available in MZHF collections (maybe this is the specimen cited as preserved in Vienna by Poppius 1915a ). Accordingly, we apply Recommendation 73F of the Code (ICZN 1999) to determine the status of type-series members.
