COMMENTS: Mathews cited his catalog number in the original description and gave the range of
mungi
as the interior of northwest
Australia
. The
holotype
bears Rogers’ original label and Mathews and Rothschild type labels. The only
paratype
that came with the Mathews Collection is
AMNH 657293
(Mathews no. 9139), female, collected at the same place on the same day by Rogers (no. 1818). In Mathews catalog, both of these specimens have the collecting locality listed as ‘‘Fitzroy River.’’
