Description
:—Plant annual, stem tufted, up to
100 cm
; nodes pubescent, leaf blade surface densely covered with short whitish hairs. Spike erect. Rachis disarticulating at maturity, the location of the disarticulation variable, with indumentum at the base of each spikelet; spikelet with 2 florets; glumes 2–keeled, one keel prominent, length of the principal dent on glume keel
