Spike erect. Rachis disarticulating at maturity, the location of the disarticulation variable, with indumentum at the base of each spikelet; spikelet with 2 florets; glumes 2–keeled, one keel prominent, length of the principal dent on glume keel 1.8–2.8 mm and the second dent about 0.5 mm , glabrous; one or both lemmas awned; anther length 1.9–2.8 mm . Diagnostic characters :—dense short hairs on leaf, anther length of 1.9–2.8 mm . Southwest : Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari , between Gandoman and Lordegan , 2150 m , 20 June 2001 ; Kohgiluyeh & Boyer-Ahmad , 10 km to Yasuj , 1800m , 11 May 2000 . All the herbarium specimens studied were collected by Rahiminejad et al. and deposited in the herbarium of the University of Isfahan . Elevation :— From 1330 m ( Kermanshah , Harsin) to 2420 m ( Isfahan , Bouin-miandasht to Aligudarz ) .
