Wing : Dark brown; alula possibly the width of c cell. Legs : Profemur brownish yellow, protibia with subapical borwn ring, three last protarsomeres brown, first and second yellow. Mesofemur light brown but yellow brown on base and apex; mesotibia yellow but darker on apex, three last mesotarsomeres brown, first and second yellow. Metafemur brown but base yellow, mesotibia yellow on basal ⅓. Abdomen : Black with bluish reflections. Genitalia: Not dissected. Female. Female unknown. Length. 12.5mm . Distribution. Colombia (Boyaca). Comments. This redescription is based on Hull’s (1947b) original description. The information available in the original description is inadequate to clearly distinguish P . cyclops from similar species. In Hull’s 1949a key P . cyclops keys out as ‘Alula near or quite as wide as the basal part of costal cell […]’ (page 108, couplet 54), which suggests that the alula is much wider than on P . aster , although this information is not present in the original description.
