From Balkans and northeastern Africa to western Middle Asia ( Turkmenistan ) (Simaiakis et al . 2013; Dyachkov et al . 2022a ). Remarks. Archeobius phanus was synonymized under Hessebius barbipes by Eason (1981) . This record requires confirmation.
