REMARKS:
Rondani’s (1856: 58)
key for the genus
Gonirhynchus
Rondani, 1856
lists
Gonirhyncus dispar
as its type species, but he did not provide a detailed description,
number
or sex of the specimens. He later (
Rondani 1857: 241
) redescribed this nominal species in detail, providing specific characters for the male and female.
Stuke (2017: 1147)
reported
one male
and
two females
in the MZUF. We also found
three syntypes
in this study.
