Rondani (1840a: 17)

without specifying either the
number
or the sex of the specimens, but giving a single measurement of length.
Gagné & Solinas (1996: 73)
reported that “… this species is not represented. Because it cannot be identified on the basis of Rondani’s sketchy description or be readily found again because its host is unknown,
Dasineura luteofusca
must be considered a “
nomen
dubium
”. We could not locate any
type
specimens of this nominal species during our study.
