Rondani (1866a: 207)
described both sexes of
Caricea felina
without specifying the exact
number
of specimens, but giving a single measurement of length: “
Marem
raro

foeminas minus

[I collected the male rarely and less rarely females]”. We found just
one male
syntype
in this study. The female
syntypes
are presumed lost.
