Rondani (1875c: 454)

Sargus brevipennis
from just the female, apparently mis-sexing it, without specifying the exact
number
of specimens and not giving a range of lengths, from material collected by G.
Doria
and O. Beccari.
Guiglia (1957: 194)
and
Raineri & Rey (1996: 50)
reported the
holotype
(incorrectly as a
♀
) in the MSNG.
Mason & Rozkošný (2005: 49)
correctly reported just
one male
in the MSNG.
