CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Cadurciella tritaeniata ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 207 , Pape et al. 1995: 20 , Cerretti 2010: 210 , O’Hara et al. 2020: 298 ). REMARKS: Rondani (1859b: 147) described Exorista tritaeniata from just the female sex, without specifying the exact number of specimens and not giving a range of lengths: “ Foeminas tantum … inveni [I found females only]”. We found four female syntypes in this study. An additional MZUF female, numbered “655”, is not included in the type series because its label is rather than the greenish color of Rondani’s original handwritten ones and is in a lower row in the Box, for which reason we treat it to be a subsequent addition.
