Opisthonotal and genital lobes absent. Bases of setae 1a separated. Each pseudanal and genital setal series represented by 1 pair. Apodemes I with small thorn-like protuberances. Solenidia phi ( φ ) on tibiae I absent. Physogastric form with weakly enlarged idiosoma , bulb-shaped in outline. MALE. Unknown. Species included. Four species: Pipicobia glossopsitta ( Skoracki et al ., 2008 ) , P. locustella ( Skoracki et al ., 2004 ) , P. pyrrholaemus ( Skoracki and Glowska, 2008 ) and P. terpsiphoni Glowska and Schmidt, 2014 . Host range. Passeriformes ( Acanthizidae , Locustellidae , Monarchidae ) and Psittaciformes (Psittaculidae) . Distribution. Afrotropical ( Gabon ), Palaearctic ( Poland ), and Australian ( Australia ) regions.
